ISO 55001:2024 Lead Implementer & Internal Auditor
Five intensive days on implementing and auditing an asset management system compliant with the 2024 edition. Concluded by an audit simulation and a final examination.
Two roles, one course
The programme prepares for both postures the standard distinguishes: the person who builds the system, and the person who audits it. That is deliberate. You cannot build what you would not know how to audit, and you audit usefully only what you have understood from the inside.
Every requirement is therefore approached twice: what the implementer must construct, and what the auditor will look for as evidence.
What sets this course apart
The programme is not a clause-by-clause reading of the standard. That is available in the text itself, and it does not take five days.
An operational reading
Every requirement is translated into what has to be built inside a real organisation, and into the evidence an auditor will look for.
Field cases
Examples drawn from infrastructure, industry and public utilities, not from textbooks.
Both postures
Each topic is approached from the position of the person building the system and of the person auditing it.
A closing simulation
An audit situation in real conditions rounds off the course, ahead of the examination.

What the 2024 edition changed
The course is taught on the 2024 edition, the one in force, not on the 2014 text. The revision introduced an explicit decision-making framework, promoted the strategic asset management plan to its own sub-clause, substantially revised the clause on data and information, added a clause on knowledge, and renamed preventive action to predictive action.
These are precisely the points on which transition audits concentrate before the deadline of 31 July 2027.
The MARAMM certification
Passing the final examination leads to the MARAMM Lead Implementer & Internal Auditor ISO 55001:2024 certification, issued by the association.
Note the distinction from a personnel certification scheme: this attests that you completed and passed MARAMM’s programme. It is not the certification of your organisation’s management system, which only an accredited certification body can issue.
Who it is for
Asset and maintenance managers, internal auditors, quality and HSE managers, technical directors, and consultants who advise on asset management. No prior experience is required, the first day is designed as a levelling day, and the course remains accessible to someone discovering the standard.
